I’ve written almost 800 blogs on this site. This will be, I think, my first retraction blog. It’s not really a retraction but more of a “follow up based on newly discovered evidence”. There are a bunch of blogs that were left on the cutting room floor, never to see the light of day. And I’m sure I’ve contradicted myself on countless occasions and made myself look like a hypocrite of epic proportion. If you scoured the archives, I’d bet you may even find a handful of apologies in there. But never in the 4+ year history of TheEricHammer.com has there been a correction blog. I jumped the gun and jumped to a conclusion that Hansel N’ Griddle had taken my blog off the wall for good.
Hansel N’ Griddle has not taken my blog off the wall.
Credit to myself, I did not accuse Hansel of doing so and even stated that I don’t have all the details, not with any conviction at least. But for a small period of time that blog was not on the wall. It turns out that the “period of time” was as long as it takes to paint a wall and let it dry. How about that?
I’ve been preaching it for years, but this is why Hansel N’ Griddle is the best. It goes far beyond their food which is always delicious. If you’ve ever had Hansel, you know it’s a special experience. I don’t need to tell you. There’s a reason they’ve expanded outside of New Brunswick, and it’s not only because of the food. I am so appreciative of Hansel for so many reasons, and I’m honored and humbled to have my words proudly posted on their wall.
PS – The Hoboken location may be the best one. Been there three times in the past month and the three crisps are among the best I’ve ever had. They’re not messing around. Shout out to my guy Nick for making Hansel what it is today and also to Mike for holding it down in Hoboken.
