The new Chargers logo did not go over well with the general public last week. It’s plain jane, uninspiring, and frankly unoriginal. Personally I don’t care much one way or the other over the actual logo, but what bothers me is the omission of the powder blue from it. The powder blue is synonymous with the Chargers, and the fact that their new home is Los Angeles should not have an impact. Evidently this logo is not the final logo, and the Chargers have unofficially released one or two more in the past few days. It could be due to the backlash they received from just about everywhere, or perhaps it was never actually the logo they were going to roll with in the future. The bottom line is nobody really likes it, and Twitter jumped all over it. I give you the second edition of Twitter Moments.
Get it? Because of the lightning bolt? Fucking classic!!! CRYING EMOJI!!
This is a great example of the power of Twitter. To be able to piece together a comparison to a fictional movie and nail the analogy perfectly takes a keen intellect, creative mind, and fast fingers above all else.
Oh shit. Chargers got bodied by a southern hockey team that nobody even cares about! SKULL EMOJI SKULL EMOJI!!!!!
I have little to no commentary on this tweet other than I think it’s very funny because the Chargers stole the Dodgers logo and it looks like shit and this joke shows the opposite.
Chargers caught that L real quick after their logo release. These are so simple but still so funny. And no Twitter jokes is complete without at least one properly placed crying MJ. Well done.
