I have every symptom known to man, but we are too close to the finish line to wave the white flag.  The number 2 video of the year, which I’m sure nobody will agree with, is simply a personal favorite of mine.  Japan’s always gonna be Japan.  Nowhere else in the world can you find a zebra escape drill.  I’m no animal expert but I’m under the assumption that zebras are inherently docile creatures.  Regardless, there have to be other animals more deserving of an escape prevention plan.

I’m not sure which I love more: watching the drill in action or thinking about the prep that needs to be done beforehand.  If you think about it, it’s someone’s job to alert the press.  The zoo’s PR person has to call the papers and news channels in attempts to sell them on the idea of sending a crew over to cover the zebra escape drill where someone will be dressed in a 10-foot zebra costume.  Who am I to judge though?  Because they all showed up.  Evidently it’s riveting stuff.

The fake injury was well thought out; everyone knows that if a zebra is on the loose, odds are they’re gonna run someone over.  I call that being proactive.  And it all comes together with the nets, the sticks, the bystanders, and the overall pageantry of it all.  Bravo!  Bravo!
