Official BEC Review: Frank’s Deli

Wow what a place.  Let me first say that the hospitality was outstanding.  All the women working have personality, very welcoming on a Saturday morning.  The one woman gave me the full rundown of all the bread and pastries they make in house.  She also told us how popular their sandwiches were and that she expects me to come back tomorrow for more.  Not cocky, just confident.  And she gave me a free cinnamon sugar jelly donut because I was a first timer.  That’s some motherfucking service right there.  I don’t even like jelly donuts, and it was the best I’ve ever had.

It was recommended that I go with the Pork Roll Egg and Cheese, the speciality item at Frank’s Deli.  But I’ve been trying Bacon Egg and Cheeses everywhere.  So I got one of each.  And let me tell you, the Pork Roll is what keeps people coming back.  By far the best PEC I’ve ever had.  The BEC was phenomenal too; got this one on their homemade poppy seed hard roll, and it brought all the components together nicely.  The bacon was piled high, and I highly recommend it.  The pork roll, as seen above, was in great supply and grilled to perfection.  Melted cheese.  Wonderfully cooked eggs.

So what was originally a BEC review turned into a PEC review.  I usually elect bacon as my protein so I don’t have too much to compare this one to.  But I know good pork roll when I see it.  Absolutely incredible sandwich.  I can’t imagine a Pork Roll Egg and Cheese being better than this one.  Real talk.

Official Score: 9.5 out of 10
