ICYMI: This Is Why You Don’t Run On Yoenis Cespedes

Hold your phone, he’s got a cannon!  What a throw.  WHAT A THROW!  Why anyone would test the arm of Yoenis Cespedes is a completely mystery.  There’s a reason why it doesn’t happen often because if you do you end up on the embarrassing end of a vine with ten billion loops.  This was the 9th inning in a tie game in the midst of a playoff race.  So given the circumstances, this is just about as good as it gets.  Misplays the ball off the wall, so he just turns and fires from a mile away to nail the runner on one hop.  You can’t teach that stuff.  If he continues to make plays like this in the field and hits some big homeruns, this team is going to be feared even more than they are.  It’s only fitting that the Mets couldn’t capitalize after this momentum swing, but the Nationals stink so we’re still looking good.  If the Nationals continue to lose every game, that makes the Mets’ job very easy.  LGM.
