One Year Later: A Tribute To The Final Manalapan Residents Blog

One year ago today, an era came to an end.  The saga that made my JOKES a major topic of conversation and controversy saw its time expire but lives on in infamy today.  I was thinking of doing a ‘Best of the Best’ type thing including bits and pieces from all of the ‘Best of Manalapan Residents’ blogs, but there’s no sense in beating a dead horse.  There’s also too many great ones to choose from.  You can read the final post here.

Now that it’s all said and done, my feelings remain the same as they did the day I was removed from the group (which still makes me laugh); I absolutely was the big winner in this situation, and anyone who can’t see that simply doesn’t understand how anything works.  A group of adults had to take a vote on whether or not their FACEBOOK GROUP was better off without me in it.  Digest that for a second to realize how hilarious and petty that is.  They voted me out and then they begged me to come back like an hour later.  They might as well have been knocking on my door on their knees in tears offering their forgiveness.  That’s so Manalapan Resident of them.  In return, I gained a ton of fans, page views, and respect as well as a bunch of haters, who I welcome with open arms.  Haters are just fans in denial, remember that.

To this day, that’s probably my biggest claim to fame in terms of my blogging career.  That’s what many people around here know me for, and that’s more than okay with me.  For a short period of time, I was the talk of the town.  Who wouldn’t want that?  I still get plenty of joy thinking about how a few small jokes bothered some people to such a great extent.  Pathetic doesn’t even begin to describe it.  But I’m not sour about it one bit, nor do I regret any one word I said.  My opinions are mine and mine only and what kind of self-respecting person would I be to recant my words?

Since then, someone else has launched a Facebook group basically doing exactly what I was doing, poking fun at some of the outrageous things people have to say in the Residents group.  Best wishes to them because those clowns deserve to be exploited every single time they post something stupid.  I have no clue who runs it, but I would imagine they’ve been up for review by the big bad committee as well.  Look at the trend I started, Mama we made it!

RIP to the greatest thing Manalapan has ever seen.
