Full House Spin-Off Confirmed

WSJ: Netflix announced this morning that it has ordered 13 episodes of “Fuller House,” a sequel to the popular ABC sitcom that ran for eight seasons from 1987-1995. Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber will star in the new series, while producer John Stamos is set to reprise his “Uncle Jesse Katsopolis” role in a guest-star capacity.

With “Fuller House” scheduled to premiere sometime in 2016, nearly 30 years after the original first hit the airwaves, the focus will be on the now-adult Tanner daughters, who are placed in an eerily familiar situation: Veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Cameron-Bure) is pregnant and recently widowed with her two sons. Now with a third kid on the way, D.J. invites her younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Sweetin), BFF/single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Barber) and Kimmy’s teenage daughter Ramona move in with her to help raise her family.

As of now, discussions with the rest of the “Full House” cast, Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle) and Lori Loughlin (Becky Donaldson), regarding “Fuller House” appearances, are ongoing.

Jesse and the Rippers are back baby!  Sequels and spin-offs aren’t always the most successful (a la Girl Meets World), but how can you not get excited for this?  This show has been off the air for twenty years!  It’s crazy that it was a little before my time, but I speak for everyone when I say I basically grew up watching the Tanner clan.  Bring em all back!  Haven’t seen or heard from the Olsen twins in a decade.  Candace Cameron is a total babe now.  John Stamos is still John Stamos (OHTHANKGOD).  Bob Saget is the money maker though.  If you don’t have him, you don’t have anything.  He’s my one contingency.  I need more Danny Tanner in my life, and it’s not optional.  Package deal, you get him, you get me.  If you don’t, you don’t.

PS – No joke I once saw Bob Saget aka Danny Tanner himself in San Francisco of all places going in on some Spicy Tuna.
