FirstWeFeast: In a world stricken by hunger issues, wasting food is a selfish act. But wasting Popeyes biscuits? That’s grounds for a trip to the Hague for crimes against humanity. Yesterday, a photo emerged of a trash can filled with what appear to be perfectly good biscuits. Unless someone accidentally poured poison on them, there’s no good reason for them to have ended up in such a tragic state. Needless to say, the people of the Internet were not happy, and they took to Twitter to voice their concerns about biscuits, justice, and the future of America:
I don’t know how I missed this, but somehow this slipped by me and it is not okay. When something on Twitter goes down, I wanna know about it. So I’m scolding all of you for not keeping me updated. But this is all kinds of hilarious. Popeyes famous biscuits are not something to mess around with. And they are by no means something to throw in the garbage. I couldn’t agree with these guys more. What kind of monster would do such a thing? FiveFifths really taking this one to heart comparing it to his dog dying. Big_Business_ absolutely nailed the analogy ranking it up there with G-Baby getting killed. And EmptyChampagne just letting the world know not to speak to him for the rest of the week as he will be in mourning. Charlamagne Tha God is clearly upset about this, taking his emotions to Twitter as well labeling this as a “disgrace”. People take their biscuits seriously. I’ll be honest here, Popeyes doesn’t do it for me. It’s beneath KFC every day of the week and twice on Sunday. But this is why Twitter is so great. One person, someone who clearly hates the world, throws Popeyes biscuits in the garbage and the next thing you know the Internet breaks. Twitter is lightyears ahead of TV with news. It’s almost instantaneous. Doesn’t matter if it’s about someone going on a shooting spree or a plate of biscuits in the garbage. No difference really. There are some sick people in this world.
